From Good Samaritan pulls people from burning truck in Elk Grove…

A good Samaritan pulled three people from a pickup truck that caught fire after an early morning crash Sunday in Elk Grove, police said.

Officers responded to the single-vehicle crash around 5:45 p.m. at Laguna Boulevard between Babson Drive and Haussman Street.

"Based on talking with the fire department that (was) here on scene as well as our officers, had he not acted, most likely these people's lives would have ended this morning," Jimenez added.

Laguna Boulevard near the crash scene was closed for several hours Sunday morning while authorities investigated the crash.​

The “5:34 p.m.” must be a typo. As I write this, that time has not yet arrived, but probably will before I finish this posting, as it is now within just a few minutes. They must have meant “a.m.”, not “p.m.”
