The Dimocrat narrative that opposition to illegal immigration is just disguised xenophobic hostility to all nonwhite immigration is simply a lie designed for the gullible and ignorant.
This case illustrates the point. An illegal immigrant killed an American immigrant from India, and while we mourn the loss of another great American to criminals like this illegal, the Dimocrat storyline is once again shown to be the lie it is. Most Republicans and Conservatives and other REAL Americans weep for the loss of officer Singh, who represents the best of us. The criminal who shot him does not; he is criminal scum who preys on innocent people.

If a third of Hispanics are willing to admit openly that they are pro-Trump, the silent proportion of Hispanics that are not comfortable admitting to it is even larger, probably well over half, and probably stay home on elections until they see a good reason to vote for a difference in public policies.
Building the Wall will probably increase the GOP share of the Hispanics vote, not diminish it.

Suspect in fatal California cop shooting is in US illegally, authorities say
California authorities on Thursday revealed that the suspect in the fatal police officer shooting that occurred during a traffic stop earlier this week is in the U.S. illegally.
The unidentified man allegedly behind the slaying of Newman police Cpl. Ronil Singh, 33, “is considered armed and dangerous,” Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson said during a news conference on Thursday afternoon, vowing that the manhunt would “relentlessly continue.”....
“This suspect … is in our country illegally. He doesn’t belong here. He is a criminal. We will find him, we will arrest him, we will bring him to justice,” Christianson said.
Singh was shot and killed during a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. Wednesday in Newman, about 100 miles southeast of San Francisco, according to police....
Singh was a native of Fiji and left behind a wife and 5-month-old son. The officer, who joined the force in the summer of 2011, was remembered fondly by the Newman police chief, who said Singh “truly loved what he did.”...
“He came to this country with one purpose, and that was to serve this country,” Chief Randy Richardson said, declaring that “a coward took his life.”
Richardson pleaded for help in apprehending the suspect and urged him to surrender.
“We need closure. His family needs closure,” Richardson said.
President Trump addressed the manhunt on Twitter on Thursday, in connection with his persistent calls for a wall at the southern border with Mexico....
“There is right now a full scale manhunt going on in California for an illegal immigrant accused of shooting and killing a police officer during a traffic stop,” Trump tweeted. “Time to get tough on Border Security. Build the Wall!”

In November’s elections, 32 percent of Latinos voted for Republicans, according to AP VoteCast data. The survey of more than 115,000 midterm voters — including 7,738 Latino voters — was conducted for The Associated Press by NORC at the University of Chicago.
Other surveys also found roughly one-third of Latinos supporting the GOP. Data from the Pew Research Center and from exit polls suggest that a comparable share, about three in 10 Latino voters, supported Trump in 2016. That tracks the share of Latinos supporting Republicans for the last decade.
