The Bible, from start to finish, tells one story. The story of God's redeeming love in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Do you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to die to save us from sin?

If not, you missed it, and so have no foundation from which to lecture on what the Bible means.

Or, put another way: every single quality mentioned in the first 11 lines above shows up in the Bible. You can "discover" all of it there.

If you look in the mirror and feel self-satisfied after reading God's Word, as this poster seems to do (who almost certainly did not post this just after reading God's Word), then you missed it.

If you look in the mirror, see your flaws and faults but find Jesus beautiful, you got it.

That's it. That's the message, for the most part.

Yes, and all that murder and incest was just thrown in for fun.

No, it's "thrown in" because it's a real book about real people. The holy, the good, the bad and the very terribly ugly.

We are created equal and united by our love for God, and are commanded by God to hate evil and oppose those who do malice and seek to divide us from God, and dispense justice with prejudice.
Prejudice? You mean like our current court?

Seems most of the rape, incest, and murder is done by those who are held up as leaders who should be emulated.

The Left thinks you should tear down their statues and forget they ever existed by canceling them because they were flawed people.

Yes, as if they are gods themselves or something. Of course, it's the oldest sin and the most dangerous--pride.

Meaning what?

That we should open our border and accept the flood of illegal aliens?

People who don't believe the Bible use the Bible against people who DO believe the Bible to prove that the people who don't NEED the Bible don't need it because they are already Wonderful, Generous, Kind, Giving, Compassionate, Loving people.

And the people who believe the Bible are not, so there.

And also, the people who do believe the Bible are super judgmental even though this very thread was started from a place of.....judgment.

To sum up the best Book every written: "they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened" (Romans 1:21)

You have to understand, one of the greatest divides, if not one of the main divides, between Christian and secular or even religions like Islam, is Christians understand that at their core, people are not "good". They are sinners.

That is why Islam and secular humanists tend to favor collectivist governments that favor giving one person or a small group of people absolute power over us all. Then when they are in place, erase the history of humanity that reminds us that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and brings misery and death.

And sure enough, you see both Islam and the Left doing their best to erase history.

Conversely, the Bible give us the good, the bad, and the ugly of humanity as their most celebrated Patriarchs are riddled with flaws

So, I ask you, which worldview is closer to reality?

I don't know anyone who does not have different interpretations of the Bible from others.
Those who are defensive about other views, are missing the point. You need to listen to other's views. You can respectfully disagree or agree. You should not put ultimate judgement on others. That is God's job.
