GM is partnering with Segway to make this little gadget. Of course, like the stand-up version (which is geeky enough), now we'll have a 5000 dollar, overpriced electric wheelchair to get us around NYC at 35mph.
NYC is flat.
Bikes go fast.
They cost a couple hundred dollars.
They aren't nearly as geeky as a Segway.
And for the same amount, you can get a motorcycle, which is probably safer in the city traffic than this wheelchair.
But, hey, the advantage is that once you get hit by a car in Segway's new wheelchair, you'll at least have a wheelchair.
