Really indictutive of the level of stupidity that most people do not have even a small auxilery generator. Or basic camping gear that would allow one to cook and stay warm after a weather disaster.

That is exactly what we are trying to avoid* having to do, nitwit. I like having power and heat that comes on at the flip of the switch. I don't want to be cowering in fear because the weatherman says we won't see the sun for a few days.
Then stop encouraging a society that doesn't give a shit about conservation of power. But no... types like you will just want to use as much energy as they can because they're numero uno. Your only solution is to produce even more power so people can be even more wasteful. How about you be the fucking beacons of conservation of energy while also promoting expanding power production?
We don't encourage it. Life is about cost/benefit ratios. The only way that renewables are able to survive is because the government has mandated their use AND given them massive amounts of taxpayer money to stay afloat. Were those two things to stop green energy would die within days.
The reason is they are nowhere near as efficient as fossil fuels. They are also MORE TOXIC to produce. Solar panels cause far more environmental damage to produce then the worst oil powered power plant.
If those issues can be rectified then the people will beat a path to the green energy door.
Until then you're stuck with corrupt companies buying the politicians so they can get the taxpayer loans and bailouts.

Please show me evidence that manufacture of solar panels is more toxic overall than the fossil fuels they help replace. FUCKING SHOW ME.
Jesus Christ... you conservatives are fine and dandy about things like mercury, cadmium, carbon dioxide and lead in the environment, pumped out industries... but they are suddenly bad and evil when they are used in the manufacturing of solar panels.
Yeah, that shit is used to manufacture solar panels... and it is toxic and bad, but the toxiity is nowhere near the levels of power plants like you describe. Not even fucking close. We're in a god damn pioneering era for future reliable energy, instead of continuously relying on the same shit from the 1800's and 1900's that is quickly being depleted and ruining our environment. It's not all going to be perfectly harmonious with nature initially... but it's a fucking load better than those archaic fossil fuel sources.
Easing Concerns About Pollution From Manufacture Of Solar Cells
Just look around, neanderthal.
American liberalism is responsible for over 158 million deaths since 1972.Sadly no, when one looks at the history books it is a true statement. Mao 100 million plus. Stalin 80 million plus, Pol Pot 2 million plus, the Warsaw Pact will clock out at over a million once the figures have been looked at.
Almost all of them make Hitler look like a piker.
And this relates to global warming or "leftists" how?

Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are tools of oppression used by THE MAN.And their is nothing precious about your vast stupidlyThe irony of your post couldn't be more precious!
It's "there," not "their," moron. And it's "stupidity," not "stupidly."
Two spelling errors in one sentence by the guy who goes around calling everyone "stupid."

Oh, I'm no neanderthal and I am probably more liberal than you in most respects.
Oh ho ho. I highly doubt that. What makes you think that though, just out of curiosity? What areas do you think you'd be more liberal than me, and a brief description. I find most American liberals to be too moderate, too far to the right. I more embrace the European style of liberalism which I find to be much truer to my ideals.
Why is your report about shit in the 70's and 80's You think solar manufacturing has remained the same, particularly regarding the treatment of pollutant materials? Give me a fucking break. Read up on recent shit, and comparisons of solar manufacturing pollutant waste compared to your typical fossil fuel power companies.
solar is a joke my friend.........a solution only in the minds of the utopian k00ks.........nobody else.
Its 2012 s0n........using 19th century technology is ghey. "European style liberal"........you mean the kind that would have had all of Europe running on renewables this past month meaning millions would be frozen to death? Cool style.........
Please explain to me how solar is a joke?
Because s0n.....investors arent impressed at the prospects.
Sorry.............its ghey.............

Fossil fuels are twice as expensive as solar when you include health an environmental effects.

How about some peer reviewed studies to support that.

I'm a true Constitutional fundamentalist so whatever makes people happy, so long as it harms no one but them, should be free to do as they please. I would legalise all drugs (but punish severly the criminal misuse of them, in other words driving drunk is no defence for the murder you caused when you killed that poor kid. Germany has a law for incredibly drunk people that pretty much absolves them of responsibility in that situation. That is wrong IMO), gay's would be free to marry, polygamy would be allowed so long as they are not on Public Assistance, you could own any type of firearm you wanted so long as you were not a felon, mentally deranged or guilty of some misdemeanors, etc. etc. etc.
In other words I would do away with the vast majority of the laws in this country. Only those where people are harmed would be kept and the punishment for harming others would be severe (if it is intentional).
Yes, solar production has remained basically the same. The same chemical processes are used (they are just better at it with nowhere near the wastage and production failures), the same types of assembly are used etc. The techniques have gotten better but they are fundamentally unchanged.
I have a solar setup that is now pushing 22 years old and I have been doing a lot of research on the new setups and while they are much lighter they are still toxic as hell. The solar production facilities in the Third World are major hazards and will kill plenty of people in the years to come.
Please note, though. I am not anti solar, I just know that it is not scalable currently. It is fine on the small scale and will get better. I am actually consulting with a solar startup that has a very novel approach to scaling up production that will actually probably work in some very specialised locations, we are still running the numbers and working with local government entities to get a test section going.
What I am against is blindly following technology that is inefficient and environmentally damaging without regard. Some pollution is unavoidable, however, if you are going to pollute make sure the return for that pollution is worth it.

So where in your beliefs are you more liberal than me? I want all drugs legalized, but criminally punishable as you said. No intoxicated driving, etc. I don't care about polygamy(though they should receive marriage benefits of one partner) and am fine with it being legalized. Of course I'm pro gay marriage. I'm for very restrictive firearms laws. So where exactly? I'm not really into dick stroking contests... but I'm confused about the "I'm more liberal than you" stuff.
And you call solar a joke... as if it's a pipe dream and not worth pursuing. Do you think Solar has no place as a widely used energy source for cities, along with wind, geothermal, etc? Why is a mostly fledgling field of power that has remarkable potential now and into the future a joke? Recycling for solar is still an in-development process. You really think fossil fuels are the way to go in the future, because there's some pollution in the manufacturing process and improper disposal of solar power panels? Solar panels are absolutely non-toxic during use.
Where exactly now is the stuff saying that solar power manufacturing is more toxic than fossil fuel power plants?
