My argument against war supporters is they do pretend to care about our Troops. This is not to say they actively hate our Troops or wish harm upon them. I'm merely pointing out their support of the Troops is not genuine and it is found in seeing they care more about defending our occupations rather than ending them. By supporting the occupations war supporters de facto do not have our Troops as the first priority. It is not that government can't fix this. It is how the government fixes this and how much control they have of our lives when they are through with it. It is how much it costs us when they are done not only in taxes but also in freedom.

For instance, I believe that the idea behind Social Security is a good one. The reasoning is sound but the implementation now needs work because times have changed and the investment world has changed. It is time to improve it. I believe we would serve our future retirees if we found a way to wean ourselves off the current plan and began to help workers to begin their savings early and keep it going until retirement.

I see Health Care Reform as being another huge government fiasco. Our tax dollars collected for our health insurance will go into the government coffers and be replaced with IOUs in the form of treasury bills and sooner or later we as taxpayers are going to get screwed. I believe the reform bills are anti-competitive and will eventually drive private insurers into bankruptcy (some of you think this is a good thing, I don't) and force all of us into the public option. When all of that happens we are screwed.

I wonder... will President Obama's final act as President in 2016 be to bailout the private insurers he drove to the brink of bankruptcy?

It is not can the government reform health care that is the question. It is how they do it.

You don't really think Obama going to Ft. Hood has anything to do with the victims of this shooting and their families, do you? Now we find out his policies contributed to an air of political correctness in the FBI that has now returned to a similar level to the Clinton years (Pre-9/11). Evidence was ignored or sluffed off, labled as being minor. But as each day passes more comes out and the truth is becoming clearer that this guy was identified as a threat 2 years ago and the investigators were told to back off by unknown officials.

I don't know where you get your figures from, and don't really care, But how many Americans died that did have health care insurance? How many of those who died and did not have insurance died at the hospital where they were being treated for free? How many died in accidents? How many were murdered? And the list goes on......
