Funny that you should say that because I know full well that you and I are on opposite sides in the Health Care Reform/Public Option debate yet I agree with your statement here completely.

Your Jefferson quote is one of the reasons that I am so opposed to the public option. Giving our health insurance to the government removes if from our control completely.

As for hospitals and doctors overcharging, I don't think that will change with the public option or the health care reform that has been presented to us.
