George Stephanopoulos Stunned After Pelosi Suggests States Can Overrule Constitution and Ban Trump From Presidential Ballot

Except there was no insurrection, there was only a riot.

There have been many protests, riots and incidents of violence at the capital. You only want to create a narrative of, "insurrection," for a political reason.

It is old, stale, three years repetitive now. . . and the only folks that are buying what you are selling? They already own a copy.

Clearly? You aren't going to let this go till the SCOTUS tells to give it up.

"Shooting in Congress" - March 1, 1954 Universal Newsreel

Stop being so sensible.

Those that are scared and/or have something to hide will stop at nothing to silence those that question them.

Stay on topic! This thread isn't about Putin, Ukraine, etc.

Happy New Year OKTexas!

But, there is always two sides, and believe me, I think there is a good argument on your side,
The argument against such is that they chose not to legislate that a conviction of insurrection was needed, and they chose not to legislate Congress had to declare an Insurrection, and Congress chose not to say that this section was for civil war insurrectionists only, and they chose not to legislate that the State's or Courts can not execute Section 3 of the 14th....etc. etc... when they could have, if that is truly what they really intended for Section 3.

And, they will argue that the writers wrote in to this particular section 3 of the 14th, the roll Congress had in this section.... Which is Relief for the Candidate when asked for by the candidate....the removal of the disability, removal of the disqualification, by BOTH houses of Congress... voting by 2/3s.

And they too have a good argument....

Happy new year to you as well. But....
Feel free to show me where congress wrote in immigration legislation that the States have no power to enforce it. Congress just doesn't do things that way, there's no need because of the supremacy clause.

In fact the xiden regime is suing TX because they passed a law allowing State level law enforcement to arrest anyone found in the State illegally.

.

We already know Pelosi has no respect for the Constitution when she led the first and second impeachment of President Trump while disallowing him his constitutional right to due process.

thats would be like a 34 year old whining about not being allowed on the presidential ballot.

This:

Jurisdiction and the Supremacy ClauseThe U.S. Supreme Court has consistently upheld the federal government's jurisdiction over immigration law. SCOTUS has overruled attempts by state legislatures to single out immigrants. The Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution generally means that federal laws trump state laws.Sep 12, 2023
