Freedom of expression/speech/opinion does not grant immunity from consequences that you will face by other people.
Alot of controversy going on about the hick on TV who had an opinion and shared what he thought.
The thing is that he doesn't have a legal right to be on TV and they can can him whenever they please at a moment's notice. He's free to say what he wants as there is no problem with that and he can legally do so, but he has no legal right to stay on TV. TV broadcasters can cancel anything at a moment's notice as they only rely on programming to bring in views so they can profit from commercials.
You can say what you want, whenever you want. But you are not immune from what others will say, think, react, or do.
This is a fine example of so.
