Four Men were caught on video abducting a large swan in Queens, NY.

Swans suck.
They are actually nasty birds that have actually tried to drown pets and children.

With that said, I wouldn't want to abduct one...but I also DGAF.
Forgot the N

Probably legal in El Salvador.

Or maybe it's a cultural thing.

My late father, before he served in WWII, had to hunt quail and other birds for food, it being the great depression and all. He was a smallish man, only standing 5'4" and weighing 120 lbs.

He enjoyed hunting well into his 50s. Didn't need it for food, he had a good union job. But it was a culture he was brought up in.

you 'city folk' are so disconnected from nature that there's no sense in talking to you ~S~

Trust me in that the great unwashed out in the sticks still subscribe to similar scenarios Joe ~S~

How many here have looked their dinner in the eye and pulled the trigger? ~S~

Even though I disagree with your overall position... you and evenflow do have a point about hypocrisy. Or maybe "cognitive dissonance" is a more accurate way to describe it. That said, I think it's barbaric whether one pays someone else to do it or whether one does it themselves.

Methinks maybe we may have finally come to terms BC

and yes it's completely barbaric , trust me in that the hardest thing is pulling that trigger (i've gone thru my share of whiskey)

yet i exist in the trenches of humanity in the USofA , were our survival is dependent on such acts

we;ve kids to feed.......so cut me some slack plz......~S~

Listen to the last line of the video. Pot? As in cooking pot?
Are illegal aliens eating swans?

Is this story real? I don't think of swans as being "abducted." Wouldn't stolen be the better word?

The start where the guy was running with the swan made me think of this kind of costume.

Then it being a rare "mute swan," but whose mate was calling out for her? Are the males the talkers? As with humans, I suppose a female swan who doesn't talk is the most desireable of all.

Out of guilt, I stopped watching at that point, and stopped laughing a few seconds later.

Sorry, guy. If it was illegals that tood her for food, that sucks, and yet another reason to get rid of these trespassers.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that swans don't "give birth," BTW.

I had to watch the last part.

"The community leapt into action." :laughing0301:

That guy who pushed the mamma swan out of the way to take the baby(ies) is truly an asshole. He seemed like an American, or maybe a Canadian.

They "apprehended the vehicle," but no swan? The swannappers must have used a sophisticated network of cutouts and deaddrops to get rid of it right under the noses of the authorities.

Okay, I'll stop now.
