It is illegal in most parts of the USA to hunt or otherwise kill Swans. There's hunting and then there's poaching.

Since you don't know that, I suspect your opinion is less than helpful.

Every hunter I know is respectful of game laws. They believe, rightfully, that game laws are there to preserve the animals for future generations.

I also have no use for Poachers. AFAIC, they can be shot on sight. And have been from time to time. Fish and Game tends to lose interest in finding the shooter rather quickly.

A good percentage of conservatives are into hunting and fishing. I live in a decidedly red area. Many such birds in my area. Oh, hell ya. They are talking about giving us a season for them. I will be there opening day. Shot many, many geese last year. Not the greatest duck season but ya hunted just about every day of the season. After duck season is over still allowed to hunt geese. So goose hunt I did. Should have spent a little more time deer hunting only got one for this year. No big deal though, I am just trading half my walleye for deer meat right now. Perch are starting to bite and will soon be eating those. Yes I will hunt , kill and clean to eat. I make no apologies for it. I hunt and fish for a living. I guide for goose, duck, walleye and perch. Guess what political affiliation most my clients are.
