That's not a good reason. We haven't looked at much. So that is not a good reason to think no other life exists. If that is what you mean by "unique". The theoretical evidence may lead us to believe that life has evolved at least one other time in the universe. But no, we cannot be certain it has. So we are in agreement, there.

There is nothing out of the ordinary about our planet, solar system, galaxy or anything else. Seeing as how life was a primitive unicellular soup for 2 billion years before it started to increase in complexity the vast majority of life in the universe is probably an analog of blue-green algae. The rest are at various stages between worms and whatever form intelligent life might take. Intelligence itself as well as cosmic events such as gamma ray bursts will doom most of them to extinction. This is called "the great filter". Life is everywhere but for one reason or another it never makes it to the almost godlike stage of technological development where we might detect their activity across incomprehensible distances.

I think we have not found definitive proof of life on any planet but this one. Until we do, y'all sound like a bunch of Star Trek fanboys.
