Former FBI Director James Comey: "86 47"

In American slang, "86" means to get rid of something, often used in a restaurant context to indicate an item is out of stock or no longer available. It can also refer to refusing service to someone, like a customer being cut off at a bar.
In American, we call that a "cop out."

In civilization, we call that "rationalization."

Please stop.

"to get rid of"

It can clearly be inferred to mean to "kill, end the life of, assassinate, or destroy" when applied to human beings.

Or murder.

Well this isn't at all threatening or frightening or unacceptable.

Remember he's one of the GOOD guys!

Gee, I wonder how this would play out if that were referring to a Democrat?

1.
eject or bar (someone) from a restaurant, bar, etc.
"they were accused of cheating, and eighty-sixed from their favorite casino"

Your delusional interpretation is not fact.
I'm not the one trying to rationalize or sympathize for someone urging the assassination of a sitting president.

We all know what that meant, except you, who can't stand or comprehend the idea that someone you support is capable of acting in the same manner you think your political opposition does.

It's amusing, your hypocrisy and blindness. Do go on.

“We all know what it meant”. No. You decided it meant assassination which is delusional paranoia.

Cherry picking isn't gonna help you, either. When applied directly to a person in the context of "get rid of," it doesn't leave much to the imagination.

Unless you're you, in which case you twist and contort, and do bad gymnastics in an attempt to absolve Comey of his blunder.

According to Cassell's Dictionary of Slang, "to 86" also means "to kill, to murder; to execute judicially," likely referring to the size of a standard grave being 2.5 feet wide by 8 feet long and 6 feet deep.

Moonglow clearly posted what it meant; one of the definitions was "get rid of."

Clearly, us more educated folk with a modicum of deductive reasoning skills knew what it meant.

Wipe the tears from your eyes and pull the anal plug out of your backside, this party's over.

It’s literally the first definition.
