It was explicitly 86 47. No assumption to be made about that.

You are making an assumption that because it cannot be specifically determined that it intended violence. But your assumption does not change the fact that any reasonable person who knows what 86 is might assume that it could mean violence.

And it is a pretty safe assumption that Comey, a former FBI Director, was lying when he did not see that possibility when he made that post. And he was irresponsible in doing so despite whatever his intent was.

I think you may be confusing 86 with 187. Eighty-six is usually meant to throw someone out of a bar. 187 is the CA penal code for homicide. His post certainly is stupid though. LOL They tried to 86 him twice before and we saw how that worked for them.

86 originated back in the 20's and 30's for bars and restaurants. Used when a product was out of stock, throw someone out and used to throw away food, get rid of.
