But it does. In an ambiguous situation, we are required to make a judgment and that is mostly based on the character of the person in question.

Comey has demonstrated himself to be a serious and honest person. He’s not the kind of person to make veiled calls for violence.

I am not defending incitement of hate or anything, however, if mere words can incite people to assault/harass/bully Jews, then maybe the problem actually lies with Jews.

If I say stuff to try and rile people up so that they would assault, say, Germans, I am likely to be unsuccessful. And that's because Germans haven't really done anything that would make people want to assault them. Same thing cannot be said about Israel.

The reason Romans had Jesus crucified was because of the strong exhortations of the Pharisees, the forebears of modern-day Jews. Pharisees hated Jesus because he exposed their hypocrisy, various evil, fake, sanctimonious acts, for leading the faithful astray and a whole host of other really bad things that they loved doing. The Pharisees especially couldn't handle it when Jesus told his followers to be good people.
