For those upset with the SC sending abortion back to the states to decide, let's look at abortion laws in Europe.

Many on the left claim we are now out of the mainstream with "First world countries" regarding abortion.

I maintain not a single person on the left would like any of these abortion laws in Europe to be the law of the land in the US.

Abortion rules per country[edit]

Almost all European countries offer a time limit in which a pregnant woman can choose to have an abortion on request, without a medical indication. After that time, an abortion cannot be performed anymore on request, and a doctor must confirm a medical necessity.

CountryTime limit for abortion on requestExceptions and remarks
Austriathree months (= 13 weeks)Later abortions possible in cases of: serious danger for the psychological or physical health of the pregnant woman; probable serious mental or physical disability of the child; the woman got pregnant before the age of 14[19]

Bulgaria12 Weeks
Croatia10 Weeks
Cyprus12 Weeks
Czech Republic12 Weeks
Denmark12 Weeks
Estonia11 Weeks
Finland12 Weeks
France14 WeeksInterruption volontaire de grossesse (IVG) has a 14-week limit. The interruption médicale de grossesse(IMG), for medical reasons, is unlimited.
No minimum age in order to request a voluntary abortion (IVG). A pregnant minor needs the consent of her parents (or her legal representative), or she can keep her abortion secret, in which case she needs to be accompanied by an adult person of her choice.[20]
After 14 weeks, an IMG can be carried out for: The continued pregnancy poses a serious danger to the woman; or there is a large probability that the child would be born with serious, incurable disease.[21]
Germany12 WeeksAbortion is legal only if the pregnant woman has been advised by a doctor at least three days before performing the abortion (Bedenkzeit, time for consideration).
A later, medically indicated abortion is possible in cases of: life of the woman is in danger; the physical or psychological health of the pregnant woman could be seriously endangered by not aborting the pregnancy. In such a case, the otherwise mandatory counseling by a doctor is voluntary.[22]
Abortions on request during the first 12 weeks were enacted by East Germany in 1972. West Germany followed suit in 1974, but the Federal Constitutional Court ruled the law unconstitutional because it infringed the right to life of the unborn. A new law in 1976 allowed abortions only when the woman was physically or psychologically in danger; if the child would be born with a severe disability; if carrying out the pregnancy would cause severe social problems for the woman (e.g. poverty) or if the pregnancy was the result of sexual violence. There were no abortions on request. Today's rules, granting the right to non-medical abortions on request, were enacted in 1993.

United Kingdom24 Weeks

You shouldn't be mouthing off about Europe when you can't name the US states that followed Connecticut's lead in 1820.

That's quite a difference from the Liberal Ideal of Abortion on demand up to the minute of birth.

In America, a woman in a liberal jurisdiction goes into labor and calls for an uber or an ambulance, they have to ask whether to take her to the hospital or to the Abortion Mill.

They range from a few at 10 weeks to the UK and others at 24 weeks ON DEMAND

nearly all have exceptions

What’s the law in Texas?

6 weeks no exceptions?

What's the law in NY and CA? up to birth?

The whole issue with Roe is it stopped the normal development of the issue, and gave us a 50 year period of everyone getting more and more radical about it.

Look again, Simp.

24 weeks was the exception. Vast majority is 10-12 weeks.

Learn to read................or not lie your ass off.

Nope. And that was a stupid "question"

It made YOU fuckers radical

Hell you folks were blowing up clinics and shooting doctors

Hey Stupid, there have been 100 abortion center "threats and attacks" since 1976.

You fucktards have perpetrated almost that many attacks on right to life and adoption clinics just since Roe was sent back to the states a few weeks ago.

Using the hashtag #is100enough, Bruns cited at least 100 examples of threats and attacks perpetrated against abortion clinics and providers starting with the first known arson attack in 1976 to now.

40 years of attacks on abortion clinics, mapped

I'll check but that's a lot of blown up burnt buildings...and it ignores the assassination's

Bullshit

Since 1977 there have been eight murders, 17 attempted murders, 42 bombings, and 186 arsons targeted at abortion clinics and providers across the United States.

There's your radicals

Actually yes, if you real the law. Now abortions are legal there in the third trimester. And all that is needed is one doctor to say the "health" of the woman is at risk, not life. And health is not defined.

Your side wouldn't budge, since you had Roe at your back. Compromise could have been reached, but your side didn't want it because you had Roe.

Not really when most were just threats. 100 over 45 years, Clown.
