For those saying there was no warning issued for the TX Flash Flooding

My comment has nothing to do with goverment staffing, there is no need to infer what you think I'm trying to say, as you would not get it right anyway.
The entire thread is based upon the nonsense that cuts to the government lead to deaths. In this thread, they are blaming nonexistent cuts to the NWS for the deaths of those kids at camp instead of focusing on the abysmal judgment of the people who were running the camp.

They had adequate warnings and chose to take no action.

Do we know that? I imagine a lot of people tried to get out but didn't make it in time.
It's possible. But I do know that the warnings were issued in adequate time and every report I've read so far has stated that the kids were still sleeping when the floods came through.

We can infer fairly accurately that the day prior, there were adequate warnings that flooding was a possibility. That should have put the staff on the alert to pay closer attention to the weather -- something camping is supposed to teach these young people -- and have someone who was awake during the night, or at least, had an alarm that would wake them if an imminent threat was sounded.

I won't put all the blame on the campsite, but what I also won't do is give in to the idiotic notion that government cuts to NWS were responsible for these kids' deaths.

You see, that's what I meant about you and inference. It seems like you have a hard time with that.

Now is not the time for any of that anyway, now is the time for thoughts and prayers. 🙏

Please wait until the start of the next news cycle to discuss any staffing shortages, thank you.

1:14 AM, no one heard it.
I don't here mine on my phone at that time of day but I have a weather radio that blares if severe warnings are put out.

It's no one's fault it was an act of God. Hell, even if nws was fully staffed down here we have had plenty of times over the years that a thunderstorm with heavy rain was coming and on radar it showed it coming and going, but low and behold stick around for hours while more storms were building up one after another and pour for hours. Training or just dumping whatever you want to call it.

It probably didnt help that this happened over a national holiday. Sometimes human nature is also to let down our guard just a little in those situations as well.

This was the NWS warning 3 hours in advance calling for heavy rain and "life threatening" flash flooding:

Hopefully this puts that issue to rest for good and all.
Leftoids don't ever let facts get in the way of their lies.

Ever.

Lies are all they have to try to stop Trump. But we've heard it all before from 2016-2020, so most people just roll their eyes and humor the liars. Trump would have never been reelected if any of those lies had an ounce of truth to them.

Shirley you jest.

As the OP has requested, let's put this issue to rest and discuss it no further. Trump and his staffing cuts should not be scrutinized.

Yes. the govt. has censored all those vids of Trump doing that rain dance and making it rain. But you know the truth.
