The game is in the name 'Football' which is played with the feet (much more difficult trying to control the ball with the feet than the hands).
Soccer as you call it is the most popular field game in the World.
American Football is a mutated form of Rugby but with protective helmets and shoulder pads that do come across as a bit on the prissy side. I have tried to get into it, but when the action keeps stopping every seven seconds or so it makes it difficult.
I have heard Americans say that 'Soccer' as you call it, is boring? How can the beautiful game be boring?
You need to get into thinking about the tactics -
Will the manager play a conventional center-forward or a false number 9. You need to consider questions like this before the game even starts.
