Watching the news, a teacher from Florida says that excerpts from Shakespeare will be read out loud while students will have textbooks with the full plays. The plays will still be taught at the high school level.

It isn't true. It is a bastardization of the truth. The truth is that Shakespeare is taught at the high school level. Excerpts are read aloud, with each student having the full text in their own books.
