If only I was in DC with my car on Jan 6.

Can't handle the truth and reality, huh?
So your view is that if someone is having a MEDICAL EMERGENCY, then waiting an hour or two for Police to arrive to get a lunatic out of the roadway is a good option? Who's "goofy"?

Christ almighty some are deft.

Blocking roadways is dangerous, illegal and puts others at risk.
Why is unlawful and disorderly conduct so appealing to you? That's goofy.

Yah, Deathrace 2025 sounds appropro.

I could have run over protesters.
I think you'd have a hard time convincing the police that you needed unimpeded access to the stairs, and if you did not take steps to avoid the protest once you knew it was there, you'd lose all sympathy and you could feel self-righteous for the next 20 years in a very small cell.

If it was Ashli Babbitt blocking traffic, would you support running her down?
Sure. At least I would support driving to one's destination, in which case it would be Babbitt's choice whether to be run down.

Of course Ashli Babbitt did not block traffic for people just minding their own business, trying to get to work, to buy food for their families, to take children or elderly people to the doctor - maybe even taking a pre-teen "transkid" for hormone injections.

How much are people who are minding their own business obligated to accommodate people whose aim is to disrupt their lives for some perceived political statement? What sacrifices must they make?

  • The law does not bar such a driver from being criminally prosecuted, though their defense could be bolstered by Florida’s "stand your ground" law, either at trial or by prosecutors’ reluctance to bring charges in the first place.

Also it does violate constitutional right to assemble and protest peacefully

There are so many problems and loopholes in this law but hey a Repulbican governor decided to make it law which explains the logic of it all.

stand your groud , how ridiculous to use this to run people over and then stand your ground and be run over legally in one state.

Yeah so what you have to take the other road to go home.

Yeah De Santa Claus just lost any hope of running for president.

That's the solution?

To take "the other road" if your wife is in labor, cars are two deep in front of you, and five deep behind you, your gas is low, and your A/C just stopped working?

You see no rules these so-called "protesters" should have to follow?

Blocking the road, threatening drivers will get your ass turned into a speed bump down South.

We dont GAF

I could have run over protesters.
Only rightwing savages stoop to the deplorable depths as to write laws to murder their fellow citizens w/o consequence.

D.C. isn't Floriduh.

Pretty sick

So your being inconvenienced justifies killing someone.
If a mob is surrounding your car and threatening harm, then put it in gear and give them a chance to move.
And if they don't?

Darn it. You are right. I guess open season on driving over people who want to protest will have to be limited to Florida.

15th post
Florida made it legal to run protesters over that block your path on our roads.

So guess what, they're no-longer a problem in the state of Florida.

ALL cities have ordinances, rules, and laws against people ILLEGALLY in the streets.
WHY aren't they being used on these fuktarded lunatics?

This is one of the RARE times it is LEGAL for a driver to turn the tables on these deranged lunatics and KILL, MAIM, and DESTROY THEM!!!!!

If you are stopped by "the law"......you only have to say one phrase, and one phrase only........
"I was scared for my life, and the lives of my passengers/kids/friends".

Thats it. If you want to locate the laws in your city/town governing people illegally being in the street, then look them up and keep them in your head. Use those as well, but the above phrase needs to be stated first and foremost.

And if they are on a highway............well, it's a given that traffic has the right of way and people do not.
