Well it looks like they have the sigs needed. But the GOP is already looking to block this. Not by having a debate and winning the argument.
But by legal technicalities.
Even if they win I would not trust desantis to follow through on the peoples wishes. Maga doesnt respect democracy. Best of luck.

That's what happens in Constitutional Republic dumbass. The US has never been a Democracy and the abortion issue is where it belongs at the state level.

It belongs where the rights of women are protected.
The Constitution is the law in the US and nowhere in the document does it mention abortion. Anything that is not in the Constitution falls to the States to decide. If you want to comment on issues in the United States of America do some research first before you look even more ignorant than you already do.

This is why the founders created the 10th amendment....let the people decide.

In recent years Florida voters have circumvented Republicans in Tallahassee with constitutional amendments authorizing medical marijuana, restoring the voting rights of ex-offenders, and increasing the state’s minimum wage – amending the constitution to codify the right to privacy and reproductive autonomy would likely pass.

It would be a victory for democracy and the will of the people; a defeat for the tyranny of Republican minority rule.
/——/ Democracy does not appear once in the Constitution, but Republican form of government does. Article four, section four.

Section 4

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

We don't live in a Democracy you stupid shit. The US is a Constitutional Republic we vote for representatives that lead the country in our stead. What you want is for the majority to rule which means the larger population centers control everything and those areas are almost always liberal shitholes.

A Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

And the people of the STATE of Florida are going to decide.

DEMOCRATICALLY!

Read what the Founding Fathers had to say about Democracies.
The slaver Founders who didn't believe women, black people or non land owning whites should have a say in government didn't believe in democracy? You don't say!

No wolves in the slave republic though huh? That's real history.... :lmao:
