If the FBI is part of the executive branch, and it is, point out where in the Constitution it says the FBI isn't under the control of the President.

One of the many problems with hyperpartisanship is that everything becomes a zero-sum game.

So if things are not tangibly "better" in two years -- especially inflation and home prices -- all the blame goes to the GQP and suddenly the Dems can say it was all a failure. That gives them an excuse to stall everything Trump wants and to push everything in the other direction.

And the Constitution says the President is in Charge of the Executive branch.

Federal employees of the exexcutive branch only has power because of the powers given to the President under the Constitution, and then DELEGATED to said persons by the President.
