Fla Sheriff Recomends Carry Guns for you Own Protection, or else.

‘The thing that needs to be done, according to Ivey, is for the "good guys" to arm themselves, and shoot the "bad guys" if they get a chance.
[…]
"Equally concerning is the fact that there are those in this country who are in a position to speak out by voicing strength and taking action who appear more concerned about being politically correct than they are about protecting those they took an oath to protect and serve," Ivey said.

While saying this wasn't about "politics" or "religion," and instead had everything to do with "liberty," Ivey repeatedly said political correctness was making things more dangerous for everyone, and it was forcing him to speak out.

"It's time for America to get back to being America," Ivey said, before adding: "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun."’

Sheriff calls on America's "good guys" to shoot "bad guys"

Such is the reckless, irresponsible right.

And this is just another example of more conservative stupidity and ignorance in the age of Trump.

A good idea in Florida. Murder is almost legal there.
I know what you mean, The Fort Lauderdale attack was a first in Fla History, the shooting at the Pulse Club as a first also and the mass shooting in Orlando the same all done in the name of Muzzy gods.
Yeah everyone knows drunk people carrying guns at 2 a.m. in a nightclub is a recipe for success
When you are armed you are not supposed to drink more than 1 drink per hour.

Otherwise you will violate a local firearms law.

I have cc carried now for almost 40 years in three states and have pulled my sidearm three times but never have had to fire it.

what fun is that?
Its a pain in the butt the extra weight and it hits you in the ribs sometimes.
I wear my full size 45ACP at the side in the 3 oclock position under my shirt and jacket.

This keeps it out of the way of my body even when bending or twisting.

Are you scared there snowflake? You morons have been predicting Wild West shootouts for decades now. Go find a safe space idiot.

There is crime everywhere on this Earth.

Florida has a high population so there will be more incidents there than in most other places (other than Chicago).

Chicago is the worst.

Guns for me can be fun as far as competition shooting. But then the real reason you shoot in competition is to improve your safety level in aiming and firing. So it's not so much an issue of fun for me. It's an issue of if the attacker and the victim are inches apart can I find and fire the clean shot? Because a life depends on it!
Guns for me are all work and no play.

When I am shooting at the indoor range I am visualizing an actual encounter and I am striving to do everything right to make the perfect shots (usually a pair of double taps).

It is frustrating when they are not perfect.

Then there is cleaning the pistol and mag's.

Other than reassure my self confidence and work my muscle memory it is not what I would consider fun. It all takes several hours, then changing clothes right away and taking a shower to get all the residue off.

Work. Not fun.
Living out in the woods or other areas are better for testing yourself. Once a day I go out 25 feet from my target and draw and fire once. And live with that shot until the next day. An old timer taught me that decades ago.

25 ft equals 8 yards.

I start at 25 yards (75 feet) and work my way back to 3 yards.

I expect that 3 yards (9 feet) is the most likely distance anyone would be shooting anybody else. And possibly even much closer than that -- 1 or 2 feet in a robbery attempt, or 5 to 10 feet in a hostage rescue shot.

I'm old school 38 snub hammerless. 5 shot. If you need more then that what the hell where you doing there?
In home? 20 gauge solid slug. These idiots using 00 are fools. In a tight space you need to be surgical with your shot not Rambo.
38 is a fine caliber and load.

Hammerless lets you shoot from inside a coat pocket.

I prefer to draw and shoot however.
I have a cross belt holster. I don't need to draw to fire! Just turn my left hip toward the target. First shot hits body mass every time!

Most gun CCWs are not thugs, and the only ones involved in shooting are not CCWs people. Next target or soon will be a sports event, or Casino killings.

I am a Master at combat shooting, and in a real world incident will not miss.

Six foot tall and with my hip turned towards you and firing in holster the shot would strike 36 inches from the ground. Body mass is from the belly button to the neck. It would hit.

Here in the Big Apple, one can't even carry a pea shooter.
