.........which was BS since Dems agreed to a 9/11 style commission.
WASHINGTON — House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on Tuesday voiced opposition to legislation to create a bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
In a lengthy statement a day before the House is set to vote on the measure, McCarthy complained about the negotiations, argued that multiple investigations into the riot already exist and said he wants the panel to also look into other instances of violence.
The legislation is the product of a compromise announced Friday by the top Democrat and Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee, Reps. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and John Katko, R-N.Y., who reached a deal on the guidelines for the panel to model it after the 9/11 Commission.
Then they claimed no one was paying attention, which is self-evidently absurd since the revelations from the hearings have consistently been stunning front page news and the talk of the board.
Then they claimed the hearings were one sided despite the fact that the witnesses who theoretically would be presenting the Trumpian point of view refused to testify for fear of self incrimination and or to protect the Orange Insurrectionist.
Then they claimed the hearings lacked due process. Well, yeah, they are hearings, not a legal proceeding. The evidentiary standards are not the same as in a court case. Anyone who is indicted will have an opportunity to defend themselves in court. Everyone understands that except Trumpleton's.
Then they claimed it was all hearsay even though the irrefutable fact is that witness testimony has corroborated the evidence, and the testimony of other witnesses, not disputed it.
What next? How about Liz Cheney wears Army boots. Yeah but.........Hillary. Inflation! Hey......squirrel.
