As the detective testified to the findings at the scene, most of the grand jurors wept, as well as the court reporter. I had bad dreams for a very long time.

I don't know what the eventual disposition of the case was. It was in a notoriously blue district. The murderous thugs are very likely walking around, if not dead by their own evil deeds.

That murder scene should have been what the thugs eventually got.

Most people don't even realize, to be indicted by a grand jury just means a DA got to stand in front of a group of people, with NOBODY representing the accused, and say whatever they want to try to garner an indictment. No proof of any accusations is required.
