At the time of the interview, I had been a journeyman retail meat cutter for over ten years.I buy meat in bulk these days and we break it down into ounces per portion so we can freeze it and then thaw out just what we need for a meal. Basic math is pretty useful doing that without having to weigh each portion.
The lack of the most basic knowledge these days is frightening. Without the calculator in the cash register telling them, a huge number of cashiers working fast food windows or whatever could not figure out how much change you should get from your $20 bill if their lives depended on it.
Took you over an hour to figure that out?6 hoses.
Blame it on poor water pressure.
But even a meat cutter needs to know how to cut meat to order yes? Seriously, I do understand when you're an expert at something to have do these little drills. I've been there. Had one employer who actually sent me to his psychiatrist to test my IQ to be sure I was smart enough to work for him. I didn't work there long but it definitely was a job from hell.At the time of the interview, I had been a journeyman retail meat cutter for over ten years.
I suppose the problem is the same all over.Funny! You do realize the first picture is not the US military, but Brits.
Yet wearing a military looking uniform. In effect, working for the government is almost parallel to the military as both are just different parts or ends of the same thing.Rachel Levine as he is known, is not in the military.
Interesting observation.Eisenhower famously only wore his top three ribbons on his daily uniform as he had too many to fit. The military has gone in for far too
many qualification badge and ribbons in the era since I left the military in the 90s.
didju get the job?I interviewed for a meat cutting job once and the interviewer interjected the questioning with simple math problems. It was weird.
Possibly the most absurd end result of leftist DIE politico-religious ideology.
"Math is racist". What would be a reasonable question to ask of a firefighter, except in the DIE infected ideology of the left.

DOJ Tells Four Police, Fire Departments That It’s Racist To Expect Employees To Know Basic Math

Firefighter test asked job candidates how many 60-foot hoses they'd need to bring if a fire was 350 feet away
Its unfair that so many white males have died in US wars.
Shouldnt the other races and genders catch up?
What about EQUITY OF OUTCOME?!
How about when something 'Burns your butt'??
After being treated for Lyme disease I still had symptoms. My doctor sent me to a 'disease specialist' who turned out to be a psychiatrist, who proceeded to tell me "it was all in my head". I protested that the symptoms were real. He proceeded to assure me that he knew what he was talking about, noting casually that all was required to become a doctor was an IQ of 120, a subtle way of telling me how smart he was and that I should listen to him. I didn't have the heart to tell him that my IQ was 135. Within weeks my symptoms abated, likely because my system finally rid itself of all the now dead bacteria, which were likely causing my ongoing symptoms.Had one employer who actually sent me to his psychiatrist to test my IQ to be sure I was smart enough to work for him. I didn't work there long but it definitely was a job from hell.![]()

No. I got a job with a different company without an application or interview. The only question asked was "Are you going to quit when the weather gets warm". I had quit twice to work outdoors during the summer; tree trimming and landscaping. I assured them that I wouldn't.didju get the job?
I've been subjected to credit checks as a part of previous employment applications. I see nothing "racist" about that. It doesn't seem "racist" to question the ability of a firefighter to understand how much hose to bring to reach a burning building some distance from a fire hydrant. That would seem to be a basic question to ask. What an utterly dishonest OP. I suggest you find other news sources that can honestly present information.
That hose question had nothing to do with the lawsuit. Math was never claimed to be racist. Yall are ignoring the actual facts of the case and making up your own false narratives. Shame on you.
Here… read up
The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Georgia, alleges that the County engaged in discrimination with two parts of its entry-level firefighter hiring process. The United States’ lawsuit challenges the County’s use of a credit check to screen out firefighter candidates based on the County’s review of their credit histories. The lawsuit also challenges the County’s past use of a written examination designed to determine placement level in college classes as a method for ranking candidates to move forward in the firefighter hiring process. The County’s use of these employment practices disproportionately removed qualified African Americans from consideration for a firefighter position. The complaint further alleges that the credit check and the use of the written exam to rank applicants do not lawfully identify the best qualified candidates for the firefighter position
Nobody claimed it was racist to question a firefighter about the hose length. That was a lie put forth by a biased news article spreading misinformation and here you are pushing the same crap. You seem to want to disproportionately assume that some candidates need disproportionate allowances.
Identify how you know the question about the hose length was a lie. Are you just making up stuff as you rant?Nobody claimed it was racist to question a firefighter about the hose length. Because I read the actual lawsuit and not some biased article from the DailyWire. I posted a snippet with a link as well if you ever want to educate yourself with facts and not propagandaIdentify how you know the question about the hose length was a lie. Are you just making up stuff as you rant?
Shame, shame.
Nothing in your rant comes close to addressing how the background check or a basic question related to job performance is somehow "racist".Because I read the actual lawsuit and not some biased article from the DailyWire. My simple point was to clarify what the actual court case was about. The link and narrative you posted was a lie saying it was about a hose question. How about trying to be honest for onceNothing in your rant comes close to addressing how the background check or a basic question related to job performance is somehow "racist".
