2,000 temporary pipeline jobs.. Keystone XL is an export pipeline... a tax dodge for Canada that won't benefit the American consumer. The President of the United States has NO BUSINESS taking sides in a private (or public sector) union election. It is of NO CONSEQUENCE to the Sovereign whether any group of employees is represented by a union or not, and it is a subject of enormous debate whether employees are "better off" being members of a union or not. The hundreds of thousands of steel workers, auto workers, coal miners, etc., can attest to the fact that it is not a slam dunk of wonderfulness being covered by a CBA. Interestingly, we have a big, healthy, diverse group of "transplant" auto manufacturers in this country, NOT ONE of which has "organized" employees, and they all seem to be doing just fine.

But are Americans savvy enough to recognize that unions are a SOCIALIST initiative? In a CBU every employee gets the same pay and benefits - the laziest, the most industrious, the sloppiest and the most diligent, and so on. Socialism.

Are "we" all happy with a President pushing socialism?

Unions are NOT anything close to socialism ... they are 100% American and have been since 1810. They serve their members for the betterment of the entire country. Workers have a legal right to form or join a Union. That is 100% American through and through, also.

I will never understand how some republicans can be so stupid.

They throw around words they obviously don't know the meaning. They only know the words sounds scary to some people.

A private company with a union has nothing to do with the government at all. The government doesn't own the company, doesn't control the means of production and isn't sinking one penny into the company.

Workers negotiating with their employer for better wages, working conditions and benefits is what the republicans demand workers do instead of the government instituting a minimum wage and worker laws.

So workers did just that. Negotiated with their employer.

What do the republicans do? They lie and attack the employee for doing exactly what they demanded the employee do in the first place.

Republicans won't allow higher wage laws, won't allow worker protections and don't want to allow workers getting those things on their own.

Republicans hate workers.

He is right. The right to unionize isn't up to the employer. It's up to the employees.

We now also have a NLRB that actually works for the workers and acknowledges that the laws says that government must encourage unions.

That was done dummy. Instructions from the CDC were sent out. Trump had the mask makers ready to do. Defibrillators ready to send and a hospital ship parked in NY harbor. A ship none of the Dem idiots running the city ever used.

Hell I went out and bought a mask and practiced social distancing even before the CDC came out with those instructions. You can bet millions of other Americans did the same.

Once it hit our shores nothing was going to stop it. The only thing that would have stopped that virus was China closing its country down. Which it never did hence the rest of the world suffering with the Chinese Virus.

Unions aren’t as high a priority as they once were with Democrats. The Global Climate Change Agenda and Open Borders are higher priorities for Democrats and they run contrary to Unions’ goals: Many jobs, and many jobs that are high-paying.
