Those on the right have have their share of guilt re posting dishonest memes and using their anonymity on the internet to spew ugly metaphors and insults. I do think we might be getting a little better in not doing that so much, but still some do it. The left does it constantly.

But those on the right condemn violence no matter who commits it and violence committed by those on the right is rare and almost always is the act of one mentally challenged individual. Verbal and physical violence has become the stock in trade for many if not most of those on the left and almost none are willing to condemn it.

Some rightwing media can be guilty of obvious bias and poor scholarship, but are rarely guilty of deliberate and intentional disinformation/smearing/dishonesty. Intentional disinformation/smearing/dishonesty is the stock in trade in most of the leftwing media.

The leftist sheep mostly dutifully post the assigned indoctrination, smears, assigned talking points and are evident all over the media, internet, here at USMB.

Those on the right are far more likely to be have verifiable logic, reason, evidence for their opinions and be able to argue those opinions. The left has extremely little that is credible to defend theirs.

So yes, the left in America has become a religion of anger, hate, contempt, distrespect, dishonesty, i.e. is the mean spirited group.

Those on the right, at least the Patriots/MAGAs, are much much happier, optimistic, positive, helpful, looking for real solutions and accomplishments instead of just tearing down.

I have a buddy in Pittsburgh who is friends with one of Fetterman's exes. When he ran for Senate she told him he was really a closet conservative, but pushed the progressive mantra for political reasons given the area he was representing (he had been mayor of Braddock which is heavily Democratic and then Lt Gov under a progressive Democrat).

I don't think the stroke did anything. He represents a swing state and can now be himself.

As one who is perceived as being "right" of the "left" and "left" of the "right", I have noticed that the only virulence expressed has been on the part of those on the "left" because I am not "left" enough. The "right" either doesn't care or is prepared to dialog when they find my position not as "right" as theirs.
