As far as being hit in the head, oh yeah......I've seen lotsa incidents of that happening at the Capitol.

What the cherry picked video DOESN'T show is what took place before the officer was pulled down the steps. Were the Police pushing at the demonstrators? Were they using batons on them? Was what happened a reaction to what the Police were doing? I'm so sick of the main stream media tailoring what they show us to match the "narrative" that they are pushing. So supposedly we're to believe this man feared for his life yet you can clearly see that it is the protestors themselves who came to his rescue!

What with all we read these days about digital manipulation of images. So, we nod, not in agreement.....but rather as acknowledgement that poster Bush92 actually believes it is fake.

However, that leaves us all in the perplexing dilemma of wondering if ALL of those videos were faked. The one by the professional news crews, the ones on police body cams, the ones on mounted security cams, and all those ones taken by the engaged participants, and the interested groupies and lookers-on.

Now, for me, that seems a daunting stretch to agree with poster Bush92's seeming belief that ALL videos were faked.

OK, so, according to CNN they learned from some "prosecutors" that some "rioters" told a "nearby group" to kill him with his own gun as "they" (who? the rioters? the nearby group?) attempted to pull his gun out of its holster to execute him.

You can't smell this is bullshit a mile deep?

Prosecutors said Thomas Sibick was seen on police body-camera footage assaulting Fanone while he lay on the ground outside the Capitol during the January 6 insurrection. In a January interview with CNN, Fanone said he had been tased several times in the neck, had been beaten with a flagpole and had heard people screaming, "Kill him with his own gun," while rioters tried to pull his weapon out of its holster.

It's testimony from an officer in uniform.

So with all of the cameras trained on what was happening I'm sure you have lots of video showing Police being clubbed over the head and others screaming kill him with his own gun...right, FFrench?

Actually, I believe there are videos of such. Caveat: I don't know about audio of "Kill him with his own gun". I first read about that when the New York Times interviewed the officer who experienced it. So, in truth, I personally haven't 'heard' it being said.
But, I kinda sorta allow the officer some plausibility and credibility on it.

As far as being hit in the head, oh yeah......I've seen lotsa incidents of that happening at the Capitol.
Am surprised the contributor here, 'Oldstyle', hadn't seen any of 'em.

So, 'OldStyle'.....do this: Scroll back up in this thread or the other nearby thread that has a number of video clips of that actually happening.

Was there conflict between the protesters and the Capital Police? Without question! Is the Main Stream Media's portrayal of what happened there totally over the top? I've been shown two video clips so far...one is someone discharging a fire extinguisher and another that purports to show a Capital Police officer nearly beaten to death by a rampaging mob actually showing him being protected by that same group of protestors. Quite frankly...your hypothetical is based on a narrative that I find to be over inflated by the media!
