There was ONE appraisal done by a different bank that was made available to Deutsche Bank used and they adjusted the value of that one property.

That is the only property out of numerous properties that happened to be valued by Deutsche Bank based on appraisal.

Ive never heard of a bank sharing an appraisal before. Something tells me there is more to that story, but apparently i was wrong, but they obviously have some sort of relationship if they are sharing internal info like that.

As for the appraisals, they wouldnt accept one appraisal on one property and call it good. You are going to need a sgnificant amount of evidence to support that weird as fuck claim.

Pulte’s letter alleged James “falsified records” to obtain favorable loans on a home she purchased in 2023 in Virginia and a Brooklyn brownstone she’s owned since 2001.

“Ms. James, for both properties listed above, appears to have falsified records in order to meet certain lending requirements and receive favorable loan terms,” Pulte told Attorney General Pam Bondi.

That could amount to criminal charges, including wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and false statements to a financial institution, among others, Pulte added.

The FBI and US Attorney’s Office in Albany didn’t immediately return requests for comment Thursday.

James’ office declined to comment.

Abbe Lowell — an attorney for James whose firm frequently represents clients that it believes have been unfairly targeted by the Trump administration — has also derided the investigation.

In a statement to CBS News, Lowell called the allegations "baseless and long-discredited" and said that the investigation "appears to be the political retribution President Trump threatened to exact that AG Bondi assured the Senate would not occur on her watch. If prosecutors are genuinely interested in the truth, we are prepared to meet false claims with facts."
