You’re just making stuff up. Your little fictional story keeps changing.
You keep making the same accusations over and over again in an attempt to cover up for the fact that you have no idea what you are talking about, something you continue to demonstrate over and over again as well. Your inability to actually THINK for yourself and are only able to regurgitate what you have been told is amazing.
FOR EXAMPLE:
"Typically,
field agents conduct interviews of potential suspects."
General Flynn was interviewed by Field Agents the 1st time he was questioned. It was FBI Field Agents who later stated they did not think Flynn lied to the FBI when questioned. If the FBI wanted to question Flynn again the established protocol / procedure was that FBI FIELD AGENTS would have contacted Flynn and asked him to come in for additional questioning or would have asked to come to him to conduct more questioning. Following these procedures would have made Flynn realize this was official questioning and that he needed to have his Counsel with him....
....except the FBI leadership did NOT want Flynn to have his Counsel present when he was questioned again - Deputy FBI Director McCabe TOLD FLYNN THIS when the Deputy Director deviated from procedure / protocol by injecting himself into an on-going investigating being handled by FIELD AGENTS:
"Field Agents' work is reviewed through layers of supervisors before it reaches the desk of a someone overseeing an investigation, such as Strzok, who was the deputy assistant director of the FBI's counterintelligence division, or McCabe, the second highest official in the bureau.
"McCabe called Flynn on a secure phone line in his West Wing office and told the newly appointed national security adviser that he wanted him to "sit down" with two agents to discuss his contact with Russian officials.
McCabe explained that the "quickest" way to conduct the interview would be for Flynn to meet with the two agents without legal representation. Involving anyone else, such as the White House counsel, would take longer and the Justice Department would have to get involved, McCabe wrote in a contemporaneous memo. Flynn agreed and met with the two agents about two hours later."
1. Flynn was STUPID. He learned the hard way that everyone in DC is NOT on 'the same team', that you never speak to anyone who has the power to deny you your rights, go after your family, and put your ass in jail without Counsel present.
2. McCabe wanted to prevent Flynn's Counsel from being present, from the WH getting any idea what he / the FBI was doing, and especially prevent the WH Counsel getting involved.
Where FBI Field Agents were assigned to investigate / interview Flynn, which would have resulted in Flynn's Counsel being there and the WH counsel getting involved, the DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI stepped in to set Flynn up! Flynn, being stupid and too trusting, waltzed right into the trap.
"Strzok and another agent reported that Flynn was "relaxed and jocular" during the Jan. 24 interview. He even offered to give the agents "a little tour" of the West Wing. When questioning Flynn about his Russian contacts and other matters, the agents decided not to remind him that it is a crime to lie to the FBI. "They were concerned that giving the warnings might adversely affect the rapport," they stated. One of the agents reported that Flynn was "unguarded" during the interview and "clearly saw the FBI agents as allies."
McCabe's phone call clearly - as reported by the FBI - completely gave Flynn a false sense of security, not thinking this was an 'OFFICIAL' interrogation. The fact that
the FBI's Top Counter-Intelligence Officer and Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI showed up to do a
FIELD AGENT'S job also led Flynn to believe this was not an official interview, as it was
not consistent with FBI procedure / protocol -
one problem the US IG pointed out in his rebuke of the FBI's conduct during the whole investigation.
As THEY reported, Flynn was 'unguarded', 'relaxed', and 'jocular'...and they made the
conscious decision NOT to
remind him he was still under oath and lying to the FBI was a crime because they wanted him to remain under the false notion that this was not an official interview.
Yeah, Flynn was stupid / naïve, but try asking yourself:
Why did the
Deputy FBI Director and the
Assistant FBI Director for Counter Intelligence get down in the weeds to do a
FIELD AGENT's job?
WHY did McCabe tell Flynn he did not want Flynn's Counsel, the WH, or the WH Counsel to find out about or get involved in their 2nd interrogation?
Why did Strzok and an FBI Agent consciously make the decision NOT to remind Flynn he was still under oath and that lying to them during this 'chat' was a crime?
Think for yourself...don't just take the BS you are being fed at 'face value' and regurgitate it later as they intend for you to do.
THINK.
Ex-FBI agents: McCabe and Strzok's role in Flynn interview 'problematic,' 'highly unusual'
