Russia paid him $25,000 for a "speaking engagement", shortly - as in less than 2 years, after he retired from the USA Military. It is illegal for a retired military officer to take money from a foreign government within 2 years of leaving office. Flynn never faced charges for this.

Flynn was being paid by the Government of Turkey to lobby on their behalf when Trump appointed him. He failed to file a FARA notice, which is also illegal. It should be pointed out that while working for Trump, Flynn was still lobbying on behalf of Turkey who sought to have a critic now living in the USA extradited for trial. Flynn was not charged for these breaches either.

Because of the promises General Flynn made to the Russian Ambassador, both the House and Senate passed a bi-partisan Resolution barring Trump from lifting sanctions against the Russian without the Consent of the House and Senate.

It wasn't what the Dems did to Flynn. Trump's DOJ prosecuted General Flynn, and Flynn plead guilty before the judge THREE TIMES.

The judge said Flynn's was a "traitor" who committed "treason".
