Actually, one of the reporters said that they used the return address of Wasserman because people feel that if a package is coming from a known person, be they famous or a politician, it won't be checked as closely.

One of the main leads that they currently have is the one delivered to CNN. Seems that it wasn't sent via the mail (none of the stamps on the package were cancelled), but rather delivered by courier. And, when a courier brings a package to a business like that, they have to get signed in saying they delivered it and at what time. They can more than likely get the ID of the person that delivered it from either the package log, or if they used a fake name, from the security cameras that record everything in the lobby.
