People from Japan, China, Russia, England, Canada, India, and more all come here DAILY for the chance to pursue happiness.
And Americans are leaving the U.S. to go to those countries, too.
A Growing Trend of Leaving America - US News and World Report
Furthermore, working 50 hours a week in this wonderful country (until Obama took it over anyway) is a PRIVILEGE.
LOL well, that says a lot about your attitude. Excuse me if I don't consider it a privilege to slave for someone else's profit at absurd rates of compensation. I am not here to kiss the feet of the rich and powerful. Maybe you are. I guess that's your choice, but don't expect a lot of other people to share it.
And I note you still haven't answered the question about how much of the national income is taken in by the top X%. Once more, without that, the share of the tax burden they carry means nothing.
First of all, if you don't want to "slave" for someone else or "kiss the feet of the rich and powerful", then why don't you start your own company and have people "slave" for you?
Second, to answer your question (and apparently I missed that some where),
0% of the national income is
taken by the top X%. That's because unlike the criminals on the left, the wealthy don't take, they
earn. Now, if you want a specific answer on how much they earn, you have to cite a specific number. "X" is
not a number my friend. You have to give me a specific number, and I will answer your question.
Third and finally, since you are so hung up on the poverty line, I think we need to establish what exactly is poor in the U.S. Why don't you take a look at these facts, that come straight from the big government you worship and want to grow:
The following are facts about persons defined as “poor” by the Census Bureau as taken from various government reports:
* 80% of poor households have air conditioning. In 1970, only 36% of the
entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.
* 92% of poor households have a microwave.
* Nearly 75% have a car or truck, and 31 percent have
two or more cars or trucks.
* Nearly two-thirds have cable or satellite TV.
* Two-thirds have at least one DVD player, and 70 percent have a VCR.
* 50% have a personal computer, and one in seven have two or more computers.
*
More than half of poor families with children have a video game system, such as an Xbox or PlayStation.
* 43 percent have Internet access.
* One-third have a wide-screen plasma or LCD TV.
* One-fourth have a digital video recorder system, such as a TiVo
So in summary, here you sit crying and bitching that you A.) Live in America B.) Have a Job and C.) Have an extreme array of luxuries that people in Afghanistan or Somalia wouldn't even dare dream about. Air Conditioning. Internet. High Def tv's. Digital Recorders. PlayStation and Xbox game consoles. Yeah, it really sucks in America. It's so awful living in poverty.
This just proves you are lazy, ungrateful and greedy. But don't worry - you are not alone. The entire left is made up of lazy, ungrateful, and greedy people just like you! Maybe you can all get together and have a pitty-party...
