Philadelphia is a city in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia has approximately 1.5 Million residents.

Philadelphia has about 300 Murders a year, and for the record... that is worse than New York City, and ALL of Australia combined, and nearly 4 times more than ALL of Switzerland combined which has as many people as New York City, in a space that is smaller than the Philadelphia area.
In the year 2011, Philadelphia had the highest number of murders in the USA.

Philadelphia is has the lowest per capita income in the state of Pennsylvania, it is the poorest county per capita in the state of Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia is overall, safer to life in, than only TEN percent of the cities in the USA.

You have a 1 in 74 % Chance of being a victim of a crime in the city of Philadelphia.
By comparison, In nearby Cheltenham, the odds of being a victim of a crime are only 1 in 655.

Philadelphia has nearly a 40 to 50 % High School Dropout rate, and the schools are dilapidated and run down, and badly understaffed.
I have seen a few schools in Philadelphia where the students have to in fact pick up the roll of teacher because of how badly understaffed that the schools are, mostly because of the behavior inside the schools by the kids.

Philly cheese steaks.

They're binding people up til they have to do something or explode

By any chance have the Democrats been running Philadelphia for 3 decades or more?

By any chance have the Democrats been running Philadelphia for 3 decades or more?

The Cheltenham, elkins park, and king of Prussia, and Jenkintown politicians are also democrats.
And those European countries that I listed, as is Australia... is also at least Democrat-like... or further left.
:)

It makes a shitload of money and provides countless jobs. So probably.

The unemployment rate in Philly is one of the highest in the state of Pennsylvania.
The incomes are also amongst the lowest.
:)
So do you think Pennsylvania would give Philly up to New Jersey if they asked?

If they asked, and of course if it were legal.... no problem, new jersey can deal with them.
:)

They could probably get rid of the toll roads and have all kinds of money left over for education, helping vets, etc.

You should try to make it happen Ice29!

---- and that's more bullshit. I had a GF who lived in Cheltenham, she told me she's a registered Republican. Said she did that because it was the only way to have say in local politics.

You numb nuts don't plan on having somebody read your thread who actually knows your topic.
Born and raised there. I'm your worst enemy.

Yes Cheltenham is more politically diverse.
Doesn't make the politics republican there.
And I have also known democrats who live there.

It's all spent on crack, whores and Mercedes.
____________

I looked it up. Philadelphia has had a Democrat Mayor every single year since 1956....its a wonder its not a worse basket case than Detroit...maybe it is.

To the fool who claims Philly "makes a lot of money and employs a lot of people".....the translation to that nonsense is that they collect a shit load of taxes from any productive citizen silly enough to stay there...and they get a shit load of borrowed-from-our-children Federal money, and they piss it all away on connected Democrat bureaucrats and lazy-assed incompetent teachers and connected administrators who spend much of their time on porn sites and the rest on sites like this one--berating hard working Americans in the Heartland.

Fuck Philadelphia....and every other rotting city in the North which the Democrats have ruined.

btw, political diversity is often the mark of a high level of wellbeing.
