F-35 Fail

I think superbug is a solid plane, although a lot of the negative F-35 hype (some of it warranted, some of it not so much) is sourced from that direction since so many huge money contracts were up in the air with Australia, Canada, hell even the US related to numbers for growler.

I've read a lot of countries choosing to stick with F-35 have committed further after their pilots getting their hands on it and US sharing classified performance parameters with them, have no idea if that is true since the bullshit is definitely freely blowing both ways.

When was the last time a new aircraft design didn't require a lengthy and expensive development process?
We can't continue to rely on forty year old designs, F-16s and F-15s are already outclassed by the latest Russian designs.

How many of these latest Russian designs will anybody ever be facing in dogfights?

And, why do modern designers keep designing manned fighter aircraft at all?

Maybe if you were clairvoyant we would know who, where and when Russian combat aircraft will be encountered.
Second question: We are a long ways off from having air superiority drones that can operate independently.

It really doesn't matter what all the amateur experts think about the F-35, it will continue to be developed and produced.

Don't need clairvoyance to know that it's certain they will never be encountered.

Spending the research and development money thrown away on billion dollar manned fighters that already surpassed the limits of physical capabilities to survive g-forces long ago would have made them viable years ago. The f-16 can't even be flown at its full maneuvering capabilities; the pilots kept blacking out when they tried.

Performance stats arent classified. Thrust to weight is known, speed is known, turn ratio is known....altitude is known,,,,,all points to dead on arrival if you have the misfortune to be in one. ...fact that so much money is up for grabs is reason public has been bombarded with propaganda about how good it is.

Nope. All of that is speculative except thrust/weight which isn't taking drag into account.

More of the same negative hype that idiots were parroting in previous generation fighter =

Despite its ability to dominate the aerial arena, the F–15 attracted a vocal and influential group of detractors who continued to fight a battle for small, cheap dogfighters. Gathering advocates from several walks of life, a splinter group of congressmen, journalists, aircraft designers, former fighter pilots, and military analysts marched under the banner of the Military Reform Caucus to demonstrate the folly of the F–15. James Fallows eloquently expressed their credo in his best-selling book, National Defense.

The reformers who focused on money saw the F–15 as too expensive at $20 million, seven times the cost of an F–4 and twenty times the cost of an F–5. They further argued that the airplane was so big and easy to see that the pilot of a small F–5-sized fighter could easily get inside the F–15 pilot’s OODA loop and wreak havoc. Ironically, the very argument the reformers used proved the case against them. The Eagle was big, but its radar and superb missiles not only gave the F–15 pilot the first chance to observe, orient, and decide, they also gave him the first chance to act. The reformers had good arguments, but they were based on old information. A new paradigm was emerging, and it was the paradigm of a very large battlefield, with reliable missiles that could truly “reach out and touch someone.”

Just the facts...entire fleet is now grounded because of fire.........

btw they didnt even choose the best engine....

Agreed, not only will the plan be a failure since one caught fire, the fact that there are spies means we should cancel development of all planes. This Iranian guy failing to send info about the engine clearly dooms the F-35 to never succeed in it's mission.

China got it's nuke program via spies, I advocate throwing all our nuclear weapons away too.

none of your idiot posts change the facts....its performance is known and its terrible,...its a decade behind and still far from being rdy for prime time......but its all going to be fine cause.......what....funny I havent seen one positive post out of any of ya

Idiotic? This coming from the guy posting news of an engine fire as if that means a plane in early production is a failure. Can we assume you believe the F-16 is a failure since they crash a lot?

F-35 has had development problems as have many other aircraft that went on to be successful, it has it's advantages and disadvantages, and it remains to be seen how much of it's promise will be fulfilled. But to see some gullible parroting idiot like yourself who has gotten caught up in all the politics and seems to have some bizarre ax to grind to where every anti-F35 talking point no matter how irrational must proselytized almost seems obsessive.

If you had been around back in the day I could easily see you as part of the "buy the F-5 the F-15 is too big and complex" crowd, right along with your hero in the youtube video you posted.

its performance is known and its terrible
No, this would be more of your bullshit since the performance is classified.

funny I havent seen one positive post out of any of ya
I'm not here motivated to pick a side and act like a cheering fanboy (or anti-fanboy like you) so google is your friend.

More idiocy....its a decade late........it should be in full production and phasing out said F-16....and its going to be another 3-5 yrs if not more before they have a model fully capable
