The days of "mail-in" ballots should ceremoniously be brought to an end. The means of protecting oneself from the dreaded Pandemic are well enough known to put Mail-in to bed.
If you seriously can't or won't get to the polls, then go through the Absentee Ballot process, requesting a ballot, having it witnessed or certified, and send it in.
