And there you have it. Block Trump and lose the general. Now of course the establishment elites don't care if Hillary wins over Cruz/Kasich/Ryan or <fill in the blank>.

They are just anti Trump. It will come back and bite those R's running for Congress or the Senate though.

"A third of Republican voters who support Donald Trump could turn their backs on their party in November's presidential election if he is denied the nomination in a contested convention, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The results are bad news for Trump's rivals as well as party elites opposed to the real estate billionaire, suggesting that an alternative Republican nominee for the Nov. 8 presidential race would have a tougher road against the Democrats.

"If it’s a close election, this is devastating news" for the Republicans, said Donald Green, an expert on election turnout at Columbia University.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted March 30 to April 8 asked Trump’s Republican supporters two questions: if Trump wins the most delegates in the primaries but loses the nomination, what would they do on Election Day, and how would it impact their relationship with the Republican Party?

Sixty-six percent said they would vote for the candidate who eventually wins the nomination, while the remaining third were split between a number of alternatives such as not voting, supporting a third-party candidate, and switching parties and voting for the Democratic nominee.

Meanwhile, 58 percent said they would remain with the Republican Party. Another 16 percent said they would leave it, and 26 percent said they did not know what they would do with their registration. The online poll of 468 Republican Trump supporters has a credibility interval of 5.3 percentage points."

Hey dummy why dont you look up the rules for a republican primary instead of acting like a little whiny bitch. You know why Trump is going to not get the 1237 delegates he needs to win???? Because us conservatives know he is a Clinton democrat running as a republican.

And the snub will also effect the other races . GOP senate / house candidates will feel the backlash .

No ‘poll’ was necessary to document this fact, and there’s nothing ‘exclusive’ about it.

Anyone with a modicum of political acumen and an understanding of recent American presidential political history knows this to be true – see: 1968.

The conflict, acrimony, and anger that would result from Trump supporters perceiving their candidate having the nomination ‘stolen’ from him would tear the party apart, create divisions that would compel many Trump supporters to stay home on Election Day and not vote for the republican nominee, and turn non-republicans away from the GOP and its candidate, correctly inferring that because republicans can’t run their own party, they have no business running the country.

Running Trump in November could hurt republicans in the election

Psssst. The GOP doesn't want to win. The like sitting back and complaining about the prez.
Im guessing you're just dumb enough to believe that huh

Oh I'm so wrong ? Look what the GOP is doing /saying . It's that a winning plan??

The GOP has no new ideas . They don't want the white house cause it as a disaster when they had it . Epic fail of historic proportions !

Republicans already know the White House is lost to them this time. The only thing they are concerned with now is down ticket seats. Trump destroys all chances of that, and Cruz only slightly less. Their only hope of staying a viable party is to appoint someone who isn't as disgusting as their front runners.

So 34% of the 37% say they'll take their toys and go home, too freaking funny. In the mean time Cruz sweeps CO.

Too bad Cruz needed the RNC to rig it for him.

Ya need a little cheese with that whine?

Scenario 1: Trump gets 50% +1 delegates and becomes the nominee.
Scenario 2: Trump does not get 50% +1 of the delegates and does not become the nominee
Those are the only two scenarios possible. So Trump is not going to be "blocked."
