Evolution Starts with Lucy

You can look at evolution in a better and more meaningful way, instead of digging up fossils.

The data scientists go through the database with machines, to figure out which proteins are conserved and which are volatile. For example the Krebs cycle genes have been highly conserved in all organisms for a billion years, even the tiniest mutation is fixed right away by the DNA repair mechanisms, or the organism dies.

On the other hand the transcription factors that control Hox and Sox are volatile, they change from one organism to the next. What's interesting about that is that several of them usually change at the same time. It's almost as if a mutation was being replicated through several regions of the genome.

This is why machine learning is involved, humans could never make these connections. Does DNA have a way of propagating errors? It's a new question brought to us by the machines.

ToE isn't philosophy or politics ... it's chemistry ...

This is just silly. Faith is not evidence, that's why it's called faith. Science has strict standards of evidence, for starters it has to be reproducible and independently verifiable.

Here, let me show you what I do:

Pretty soon we'll be able to measure and quantify faith. We're already light years beyond Neuralink, the above imagery was acquired non-invasively with HD-EEG and the current sources reconstructed in real time, then matched to brain anatomy and the result is visualized with NME, an open source Python software package for neurological analysis. dSPM stands for "dynamic statistical parametric mapping", we're basically doing real time nonlinear curve fitting in 256 dimensions. This would have been completely impossible a few years ago, it requires insane amounts of computing horsepower. And because the results are so spectacular there are literally THOUSANDS of eyes on this world wide. Every government in the Western hemisphere is funding this research.

Genetics is the same way. Just five years ago we were having trouble reading flat files from DNA sequencing machines. Now we have AI that can read them, decode them, and match them against a database in seconds. The GenBank database is maintained by NCBI, you can find it here:

Here's a representative entry for a single gene, this one happens to be human:

Look where it says "lineage", so you'll know what I'm talking about.

This database is now being updated DAILY, with input from the US, Europe, Japan, and even China. There are teams all over the world analyzing this data every single day.

Now you know why I say fossils schmossils. We already know which proteins are highly conserved among tens of thousands of organisms, and we can track where the representative DNA occurs in the chromosomes and how it changes position and structure from one organism to the next. We already have complete catalogs for dozens of organisms, and all that remains is to work out the kinetics for the transcription factors.

Faith? Yeah, we have plenty of it. Ten years from now we're going to be engineering synthetic life forms by the dozens, maybe even hundreds. In twenty years we'll be able to create the organism of your choice on demand. And structure their brains so they don't eat you the minute they get hungry.
You won't be creating anything. You will be using that which God engineered long ago in a far, far away universe. Just have faith in him and you will be able to organize a universe of your own with life as well. You have to believe in Christ and be baptized by one with authority. Then, perhaps you will reach the Celestial Glory Kingdom stated in First Corinthians chapter 15.

Christ himself said only Peacemakers would be so blessed ...

He also said the if you want to obtain my heaven you must be baptized by water and the spirit. You inserted the word "only" and that does not exist in the verse. "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." There is no need to force your opinion with this verse.

Better just suck it up and accept it. Same for star formation, the age of the universe, volcano formation, planetary formation, black holes, etc. Look at it as the study of your favorite god's creation.

Actually yes! The DNA. Shows we go back about 4,400 years to a family. Noah now makes sense.

Are you ******* kidding me?

Let's start with the obvious. If the Noah story was true, the human race - all 8 billion of us - are descended from 8 people who were all related. The inbreeding would have wiped us out in a few generations.

One only need look at the inhabitants of Pitcairn Island, where they are descended from a handful of HMS Bounty mutineers and the Tahitian women they kidnapped. All sorts of genetic deformities.

So you monger war? ... dude, you're just picking and choosing the verses you want to follow and simply ignore the rest ... read the ENTIRE Sermon on the Mound ... those are commands to you and me ...

You seem to know less about Christian lifestyle than you do ToE ... you come here spitting Satan's poison just to pick fights ...

The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

If you count properly the growth of humans, it comes back to 8 people about 4,500 years ago. So, yes. For 2nd graders who can count, you would know.

Sure they do.

Just because your dumb Mormon Ass doesn't understand the science doesn't make the science less true.
They have been debunked many of times. It's a classical case of bias by a dude who forced his beliefs on us all. Fortunately, just watching the video you would realize that you have the confirmation bias too and will force yourself to be known as a jackass too.

I didn't pick the verse. You did. I just pointed out the verse you picked doesn't have the limiting belief of "ONLY." And, while I share many of the "Christian" lifestyles, I don't accept all of them as they lack the presence of apostles and prophets leading them and teaching them. Instead, it's people who go to college and come out indoctrinated to the teachings of the college and their often strange gospels. The creeds of your trinity don't exist in the Bible. It does exist in ancient Greek philosophers in which Rome assimilated into their Nicene Creed. That creed is what all Christian sects got theirs from except The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sure they do.

UCY DEBUNKED
You have have seen this image from the Creation Museum in KY. It is a much more realistic depiction of what the so called Lucy ancestor of humans actually looked like. As you can see, there is no human resemblance at all. In fact, Lucy was much more ape-like. Here are a number of important facts that debunk Lucy as any kind of human ancestor:
1. Lucy's pelvis was heavily reconstructed and based off of prior assumptions that "she" was a human ancestor.
2. Lucy had curved fingers and toes, which are typical of tree-dwelling apes, not ground-walking humans.
3. Her brain was about 400–500 cc—comparable to modern apes—not showing clear signs of human-like intelligence.
4. The famous “knee joint” attributed to Lucy was found miles away and was probably not from the same individual.
5. Her scapulae resemble those of modern apes, suggesting climbing ability rather than human-like posture.
6. Evidence shows Lucy probably had a wrist joint adapted for knuckle-walking like chimps and gorillas.
7. The conical rib cage shape resembles apes more than the barrel-shaped human chest.
8. Wide variation in size among A. afarensis fossils makes it harder for evolutionists to identify which ones are "ancestral" to humans.
9. Lucy's gait was inefficient and not truly human-like, and was more like that of modern apes.
10. There's no solid evidence that Lucy or her kind made tools or exhibited human-like culture.
The evidence shows clearly that Lucy was not an ancestor, but just a variation of ape that God would have made during creation week along with the rest of the ape kind. To this day, evolutionists have no solid proof of any kind of ancestor of humans.

Creation Museum. :p

It's sad when people have to be that desperate about their faith.

Here - if you're not too jaded you can learn a lot from this paper.

Math, not science. The topic is combinatorics. It's the stuff that evolution is made of.

The paper shows how you get attractors out of a combinatoric network.

A combinatoric network is what all the atoms in the universe are - like carbon, and nitrogen, and so on.

Sometimes, a chemical will catalyze a reaction between two other chemicals - and other times it will inhibit a reaction. This positive and negative action turns out to be mathematically identical to what happens in the brain with excitatory and inhibitory synapses.

This paper shows you a lot of attractors you can generate with simple excitation and inhibition. More generally it falls into the category of nonlinear dynamics, of which nonequilibrium thermodynamics (life) is a subset.

Simple systems can generate simple dynamics, like oscillations, brain waves and that kind of thing. Richer more complex systems have chaotic attractors that support criticality (like phase changes, how the same water molecule turns into ice and steam).

The piece to pay special attention to is the part about graphs. Graphs are like "pathways" to attractors. Graphs are information - for example DNA sequences are graphs, and human memories are graphs. In the case of biological evolution, the survival attractor supports a bewildering array of graphs. They're so rich they surpass universal groups and Clifford/Lie algebras. There is a yet no catalog for stochastic attractors, although mathematicians all over the world are working on it (it'll be a 50 year effort, much longer than the 20 years it took to catalog groups).

Forget about fossils, they're insignificant. They're not even a blip on the radar screen. What you need to understand are the attractors that cause DNA to proliferate and brains to become creative.
