Even cowboys in the old west loved gun control.

Oh yeah even Wyatt Earp only wanted to have himself and his deputies armed in town.

The shoot out in the ok corral was him trying to disarm the cowboys that won't follow his gun control laws.

They also guaranteed that anyone else in the town was disarmed and enforced a perimeter around the town. People checked their guns, and got them back when they left town.

Earp took on the responsibility to protect the unarmed people, local police forces promise no such thing.

Apples and oranges comparison.

seems he was violating the constitution and proving cops are just as corrupt as the criminals,,

Is there some connection to the decision to insure equal rights for obtaining a handgun permit in NY? Try the history forum.

What made the OP think this nonsense needed TWO of the exact same thread? Seems like some people become so convinced that the silliness that pops into their heads is so brilliant that it has to be repeated ad nauseum.

That's not true. Wyatt didn't have the force to patrol the perimeter. That's a lie.

And if you didn't disarm before entering town you might get shot for it.

It was constitutional then a d it's good policy today.

The distortion of history is not going to stand.

It was necessary after gun violence got out of hand in the old west and was effective in bringing down gun deaths in town.

Of course......the rules in Tombstone were ignored by criminals, and friend of the Earp's, Doc Holiday, who went armed every day......

One Earp was murdered by a gun armed criminal, another maimed by a gun armed criminal...

Except for the Earp who was murdered....right?
