The war could end tonight if Zelensky sat down and gave assurances that he won't join NATO, which would ring Russia with hostile forces.

China of all countries saying let's take this down a notch.

“China calls on relevant parties to properly resolve their differences through dialogue and consultation,” foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told a press conference....."

"...many Chinese commentators have condemned the eastward expansion of NATO and described it as the war’s main cause."

??

There were NEVER any proposals from Russia to withdraw it's troops from occupied Ukranian terriory, with or without Ukraine joining NATO.

Putin has announced annexation of eastern Ukraine and declared it to be part of Russia.

You are out on the fucking moon if you think a promise form Ukraine to not join NATO will undo that.

Hilarious that the right wing is rootin' for Putin.

Putin can take it down a notch right now. He can withdraw his troops and profusely apologize for his many violations of international law.

This was never about Ukraine joining NATO, it was about Putin wanting to restore the USSR.

Ring Russia with hostile forces huh?
Have you seen a map lately? Russia's largest border is with Kazakhstan. 7,500 KM, then China, 4,200 KM, then Mongolia, 3,400 KM.

The Ukraine has a border of 2,000 KM.
The whole of NATO has a border of Russia is 1,261 KM, add Ukraine's 2,000 KM and you get 3,261 KM which is.... less than Mongolia's, less than China's and less than Kazakhstan's, and it would merely for a sort of broken ring from Norway down to the Ukraine.

Were Russia to annex the Ukraine, Russia's border with NATO would.... rise anyway.
Also, Putin would have to give back the parts of the Ukraine he just annexed, which would be seen as a failure, not going to happen.
Unless China says it's not going to cooperate with Russia, stop buying it's oil and gas (not going to happen) then Russia couldn't give a damn about what China has to say.

You don't understand the historic strategic importance of Ukraine to Russia.

Biden is spending more money in Ukraine for the war he started then back here in The States for Hurricane relief.

Do I not?
Wait, what I said was that if the Ukraine became a part of NATO, Russia would not be encircled. You then talk about the strategic importance of the Ukraine.... I'm lost.

It is simple, Putin is a bully...

He gets this, he doesn't stop... We have a history with giving despot dictators a pass before and it doesn't go well...

Actually, we don't enable bad behaviour, we stop early...

Seriously, anyone talking about appeasing Putin should be ignored as having next to no knowledge of history.

Biden has spent so far less than a month of Iraq...

No US soldiers are in VA hospitals...

US biggest millitary threat are on there knees...

Take notes, this is how shit is done.... If you took your head out of Trump's ass for long enough you see that Biden is giving a masterclass in how win a war without US firing a shot...

How about we compare this to the GOP wars in Iraq and Afghanistan....

Well, these are two very different things.
If we were to compare hurricanes and compare funding and response, what would we get?

Hurricane Maria which hit Puerto Rico was probably one of the worst responses ever.

Maria got so little federal money, and the impact was thousands of lives, simply because Trump made it so political.

Doesn't matter. The Ukrainians themselves want nothing to do with Russia.

Biden is spending more money in Ukraine for the war he started then back here in The States for Hurricane relief.

Well, since it's the Red States who don't need them no gummit that got hit, maybe we can see how they fare on their own.

But what we see is DeSantis who voted against aid to NY when Hurricane Sandy hit, now going hat in hand to Washington asking for money.

It's easy to fix this if you even think it's a problem. If you don't take any Federal Money, your Federal Taxes for every citizens are deducted the same amount The State spends for Disaster Recovery.

So you just want to rob Florida of Billions of Dollars of Federal Tax Revenue and not give them any access to it after a Natural Disaster like this?
How very Fascist of you.

Nope, guy, you are the ones who don't want the Federal Government to do anything... so don't come back and whine when they don't.

Biden's response to Ian will be a 100 times better than Bush's response to Katrina.

Maybe you should ask Putin to write you another Dirty Dossier for the midterms...so you can prop up more of your lies.
