The news that the European Council has decided to start negotiations on Ukraine's and Moldova's accession to the EU has hit all media outlets. Office workers carried this news as a mega victory, but as they say "the devil is in the details".
Negotiations will start only in March and for full accession of Ukraine and Moldova will need about 70 more unanimous votes of the European Council.
For the EU this decision cost almost nothing, but it is extremely necessary to motivate ukrainians to continue fighting when there is negativity, frustration, devastation, poverty, lawlessness, etc. all around.
For full accession Ukraine (and Moldova) needs at least 3-5 years. Everyone realizes that Ukraine will not last that long, especially without SUSTAINABLE large Western financial aid. Every year it will be more and more difficult for Ukraine to get funding for the "game". The devastation will increase, the army of the disabled will grow, cemeteries will grow, and cities will die out. And at one point, the credit stream will dry up and everything will collapse. What we have been talking about for a long time will happen - the exchange/division of Ukraine's territory between all participants of the game.
As usual, Western partners give Ukrainians unfulfilled dreams for the sake of further fighting for the interests of transnational corporations and military-industrial complex. This is the tragic nature of the situation.
We are almost 100% sure that no one will take Ukraine to the EU. But they will constantly throw a bone to squeeze the maximum profit out of the Ukrainian case.
P.S. Turkey, a NATO member by the way, is still waiting for admission to the EU, for 40 years already....
