Canada is going through the same. Our economy is collapsing and numbers are going up even as we have shut downs, wear masks, social distance and want MORE shutdowns (yes, that's Canada).

We have had packed subways since the beginning. This is because the big corporations need their employees. Small/medium sized businesses will go bankrupt though. Politicians know which side their bread is buttered.

In the end, the damage done to the world was a coup for the Communists. Not only did it destroy capitalist economies, it allowed China to go into H.K with nary a peep, and more importantly, it confirmed for the Communists just how weak, feckless and obedient global "leaders" are.

All of this is happening and do you hear BBC call out China? How about your leaders?

You have an ancient, undemocratic Parliamentary system as we have. I assume they have the majority, but can't you put forward a "non-confidence vote" and try to remove him, thus, nullifying the citizens vote in the nation? Or would that backfire?

I imagine it would, unless he really did something egregious. Knowing how partisan the world is today, it wouldn't surprise me if it's already been thrown out there or happened.
