The Grocery stores are like morgues today.
ar least the ones I went to.

Mostly ..... old white people.

I noticed overstocked items being marked down
Lots of chicken products in particular.

It occurs to me that this could back up the supply chain.....

We'll see what happens.

I wonder if this is a nationwide trend. Where else do other people get their food?

I live in a college town. The grocery stores are never empty.

We're in full food bank donation mode up here...everyone and their brother is having a food drive...grocery stores, health clinics, churches, doctor's complexes, outside schools etc...most people up here in the proverbial boon docks have a good supply of when shit hits the fan food that they can donate....(we don't even have a police dept, though one town over does) We're kind of used to not having govt s help, being the last to get electricity to be restored, or the last to get our main roads plowed kinda thing and on other food crisis situations we've managed to come through for the needy....

I am hoping this food drive turns out for those in need as well...at least those affected in my region.

Sadly Virginia is using our rainy day fund to keep snap whole.

Shrug... The market I shop at is usually shoulder to shoulder from the time it opens until the time it closes... Today there were only a handful of people in there... of course I was in and out in the course of 30 minutes so I can't speak for the whole day.
