I just disagree that that pattern is an example of genuine and sincere changes of mind. But I agree seeing views change like that 180° is something to be concerned about, and I'd be just as wary as you, thing is that I've just not seen proof of that yet without good explanation. I think you are selling Trump short and oversimplifying the matter.

But I realize your views on anyone mildly supportive of Trump means you think they are all brainwashed and rigid, so I won't try to change your mind that I'd be the first person blowing the horn if I saw Trump absolutely gaming his policies out of some clandestine script designed mainly just to make himself money.

I'm very anti-EV yet I'd be the first person to admit they have their uses and places, just that I'm not interested in one myself and I don't think their technology has quite come to fruition yet.

I was just pointing out that Trump spoke against EVs a couple years ago, and he has a pattern of changing his views.
