Elon Musk

I have personally benefited from Musk's StarLink. Before that I had crappy cable and/or DSL that would go out for long stretches. Some, like Hughes, were just too expensive and had too much latency. Musk has already saved me $$.
  • Starlink has high up-front costs for the hardware, plus expensive monthly bills

  • CNET notes that Starlink service is slower and more expensive than many other providers

There has been a lot of discussion on Elon Musk, as he is a man having quite an impact right now.

I think we should take a momen to consider TWO points that I think SHOULD have defined most people's opinion of him, BEFORE doge.

1. His moving electric cars into the mainstream. Yes the tech has been there, but lots of tech is "there" but never seems to be available for the masses. I personally don't care, but anyone that believes in "global warming" should give this guy massive street cred for moving this industry forward. Hell, if you take lefties at their stated word, they should be looking at him as "World saver" or some such... title.

2. Self driving cars. This is one I DO care about. I've seen older people, Hell, I HAVE an older relative right now, struggle(ing) to maintain independent living and losing the ability to drive is a major... event in a decline of quality of life for older people. IMO, Musk has shaved decades off the time it will take for this tech to be available to the average person and for that, I am PERSONALLY grateful, becasue of that effect that will have for untold millions of old people including eventually myself.

In a sane world, this should have bene ELON MUSK, the public persona.

the starting point before DOGE.

More than just electric cars and self-driving cars... Musk holds a number of globalist / WEF views.

I hate to be blunt, but it never ceases to amaze me how easily people are deceived, simply because someone claims to have switched to the right party....and says what people want to hear. Apparently that's all it takes.

I never trusted either Musk or Trump, and it has become more and more clear to me that their entire purpose is to "sell" ideas and policies to conservatives that without a doubt would have been soundly rejected if those same ideas were presented by a Democrat.

So before Musk, please list the private companies that have put men into orbit and gotten them onto and off of the ISS.

So before Musk, please list the private companies that have put up their own satellite based internet completely without gov't support, developing not only the actual internet system itself but the rockets to put it into space.

Go.

Most of the people slandering Musk today are the ones who worshipped everything he did up until recently.....And helped make him rich beyond comprehension.

Now, they have to sell their Tesla. :boohoo:

Fair enough. And yes, obvoiusly any man that build his brand on electric cars was unlikely to be a strong conservative.

In defense of the RIGHT, I think most (all) of us are able to wrap our minds around appreciating or celebrating his contribution to free speech, without that meaning that we need to defer to him on other issues.

I mean, If I met him, well, i wouldn't bring up the carbon tax, but if HE did, I would have no trouble telling him that I oppose him on that.

To most Americans this is who Musk is. Most consider him the modern Edison.

The only people that have recently started attacking him, and sending him death threats are dembot brownshirts on orders from the demafasict elites who hate him since he has left their party and called out their corruption

Your link literally contradicts you in the first sentence, it says it is faster then most satellite providers

Mass production of electric cars began in 2010 with the Nissan Leaf, though the history of electric vehicles dates back to the 1830s.
Electric cars suck. Just ask Trump. No wonder Tesler sales are doing so bad. Elon pissed off his customers. People who actually believe in global warming. Fuck it. With all the deregulations the EPA has done, we are all doomed. Fuck a battery car now. That's like pissing in the ocean.

Well thankfully you didn’t vote for harris she was part of the admin that spent billions on EVs!

Musk is not doing anything that has not been done before.

If you are like me and you enjoy seeing guys like Elon and Trump sad, watch this. Go 9.45 minutes in.

Elon looks so defeated.

If Elon were like Trump he would be bragging about his sales.

Thankfully Elon voted for Trump, who hates EV's. And Elon's customers hate Trump. So now we hate his EV's.

What does that have to do with your view that electric cars suck??
