Well they didn't censure the left until Elon took over. Now neither side is censured for content unless they break the rules like Kathy Griffin did. And it is wonderful being able to discuss certain topics honestly without worry of being banned like the Pandemic, vaccinations, Hunter's laptop, etc. The rule Griffin broke was in place long before Elon.

And currently Twitter usage is way up despite the fragile left saying they're leaving. Lots and lots and lots of new Patriot accounts and I think most a new accounts and not just second accounts. It has been pretty interesting to watch.

What exactly was there to "censor." on the left before Elon took over? Please tell me.

No one was being "censored" for talking about Hunter Biden's laptop or even vaccinations and the pandemic. The right can be obsessed with his nude laptop photos all they want. It's only when big accounts start spreading dangerous misinformation that they received a warning next to their tweet.

I saw countless tweets from the left misattributing quotes from GOP or Patriots, accusing Patriots of disinformation even when they linked leftwing sources to support the information. They attacked/blamed, accused those on the right of indefensible crimes and actions with nary a mea culpa or apology or correction when their own 'fake news' was refuted with hard evidence.

But running those people through the 'shadow ban' tester showed all those truly hateful and dishonest leftwing tweeters had 100% clean records. They weren't even deboosted, i.e. had their tweets limited in who would see them. Pretty much ALL identifiable Patriots were at the very least deboosted. There were certain topics, phrases, words we could not use or would very likely land in Twitter jail for at least a temporary suspension if not suspended permanently.

Not one leftist commented on having accounts restricted or receiving warnings about what they tweeted.

I was restricted for defending Nancy Pelosi when some Patriot used a meme attributing a quote to her that she never said. My tweet pointed out that she never said the quote, and I jokingly added that I wasn't saying she shouldn't be hung, but she should be hung for a crime she actually commits. They made me take down that tweet before I could access my account.

Leftwingers who say far far worse about those on the right were never censured.

Since Elon took over and removed all those restrictions from Patriot accounts, I am seeing tweets from people who were invisible to me before, and I am getting a lot more interaction with my own tweets. The discriminatory censorship was real. It is good that it is going away.
