The point is in science and space, Musk is a leader in this. And he does it cheaper or tries to as compared to totally government-controlled ways and large very corrupted corporates entities. Launching the crewed Dragon a few days ago cost 140 million dollars. The NASA controlled Space Launch System is cumbersome and even if used for low earth orbit at a low price would be approximately 2 billion dollars. They knew this when they developed it promising it would be a low-price launch vehicle. Without Musk, we would still be launching with the Russian Soyuz system.

This was the mission Musk offered to Joe Biden last year, and Biden turned it down because he didn't want Elon Musk to achieve anything.

I am currently watching a feed from the Space X ladies, and they are trying mightily to not say Gulf of America to where the Dragon ship will land. I heard them say Gulf and even landing in Tallahassee. We are culturally compromised.
