No it isn't rocket science but there are idiots like him in our country just like there were in Germany when people tried to warn people that Hitler was on his way to becoming a dictator. I am not sure at which point Hitler decided to cross between being a public servant to killing millions of Jews, atheists, socialists, liberals, gays and anyone who wasn't a conservative but he did. No one wanted to heed the warnings or accept at face value the claims that Hitler was nothing more then a psychotic piece of shit who was doing these sort of things anymore then people want to accept that Bush has crossed the line, has violated the Constitution and has pretty much taken on the role of a dictator. Look at how he talks to Congress and to members of Congress, look at how he ignores Congressional subpoenas and tells aides and former aides not to honor congressional subpoenas. Look at how he refuses to nominate people for the position of U.S. Attorneys in the districts where Interim Appointees are serving because he doesn't want them to have to go through Confirmation hearings. Look at how Cheney basically asserts that he isn't accountable as an executive agency or for that matter as a legislative office. Look at his decision commutes Libby's sentence and the prosecutor, the jury, the federal probation office, the judge and the appeals court be damned. I wouldn't say that Bush is the same as Hitler because I doubt very much that he plans on killing millions of Jews but let's not assume that simply because two events aren't exactly the same that they are similiar and that we cannot find a pattern. Patterns do exist in history and its wise to learn from them so we don't make the same mistakes and I think it wise to learn from the mistakes of Germany because Bush has crossed the line and has basically asserted authority he does not possess.
We see this in the calls to cease the funding for the war. People are so frustrated that your faction continues to murder and kill our soldiers that they would want to do something so stupid as to stop funding the war which would result in the deaths of more soldiers in order to stop what you are doing.
