I Think That I've Been A Bit Too Hard On Trump Lately

When it comes to the Jesus meme incident I mean. So this thread is my public apology because I forgot about this little detail here.

Wow, you're one of the few on here who isn't a mindless Trump zombie anymore. You know lately I've been seeing a whole different side to TDS. Trump Devotional Syndrome is apparently a thing too. You have earned a whole lot of respect from me for not being afraid of throwing shade towards Trump. Let's face it though. Trump will NEVER act like an adult.

Donald Trump rubs a lotta people the wrong way. Politicians should not be alienating people the way he does, but he ain't fooling anybody, what you see is what you get and in some ways that is refreshing. IMHO, his agenda is pretty good but he does go overboard a little to get what he wants. Mostly it works though.

I think the left definitely blew this up bigger than it was. I mean from just looking at the picture, yes, it is religious themed and, yes, Trump seems to be portrayed as our Lord and Savior, but, as far as claiming that it actually depicts Trump as Jesus, I don't actually see it. Maybe I don't know enough to make that judgement, in like somewhere there is this same type picture which actually is of Jesus and Trump inserted his picture in place. But, I don't believe that is the case and there is nothing about the picture which technically connects it to being that of Jesus. I believe the left made that up for political gain.

I would be interested in seeing some kind of proof connecting that picture as to actually being Trump comparing himself literally to Jesus, instead of just Trump depicting himself religiously or being like God himself. I mean, is there a similar picture of Jesus and Trump co-opted himself into the picture instead of Jesus?

I mean where did people come up with the Jesus thing? What is it about the picture that people claimed to be like Jesus? Or, did Jesus just come to their mind for no real reason other than the picture was obviously religious themed so people just assumed it was Jesus? I'm really interested to know the answer to this. How do they know it wasn't Trump as the Pope, a Cardinal, or God himself? Why Jesus?
